Before presenting your speech, it is vital that you know your audience, their needs, and to thoroughly know the contents and every detail of the materials you hope to present to them thoroughly. With this knowledge, you will be in a far much better position to give student free speech in a logical sequence and to plan and ensure that your speech is captivating enough to your audience who should perceive it as a speech worth dedicating their time and attention to. It is advisable that before giving your speech, you should take time and do some rehearsals in front of a crowd that you can be at ease and comfortable with. Such a crowd can be made up of your family members, colleagues and friend and as you give your speech, encourage your crowd to give you comments that you can apply to improve our speech.  If you cannot find friendly crowd to rehearse in front of, you could present the speech to yourself while standing in front of a mirror or even record your powerpoint presentation using a video camera and analyze it afterwards. As you analyze your speech, take note of your weak and strong points and alter your way of presenting your speech such that it emphasizes more on your strong points and less on the weak points of your speech. Once you are done and satisfied with your rehearsals, get ready for the custom speech by dressing appropriately and looking pleasant to your crowd.  As you present your speech, also remember that an audience pays a lot of attention to the presenter’s body language. You should therefore use appropriate hand gestures and facial expressions.
